Autumn is here 🍂

Opera season is over!

I am so grateful for the season we were able to produce and share, but i am also so grateful to have a moment to breathe and assess. I have been working in silence and solitude as always, and have some exciting projects to share in the coming weeks. I finally learned weaving drafting using an online program rather than only by hand, and I’ve developed my first signature pattern. I’m excited to have a repeatable work that can be changed by fiber color, dye method, and treadling, but using one warping plan and one threading. I have two very different end products from one draft already.

I have a lot of editing to do. Weaving after a work day is restorative and calm. Editing hours of archive footage into a youtube video after a work day is… less so. Now that I’ve got some time on my hands I can power through these projects including Acid Dyeing, Overdyeing, Gradient Houndstooth, and Shifting Tessellations.

Until then, please check out Instagram where I most often post temporary stories of recent work, and the occasional feed photo. Cheers!
